Purpose: A forum for Hopi/Tewa women to explore, inspire, network, grow, and unite to promote safe and healthy communities using our cultural knowledge. Each year we focus on embracing the strength and determination of our Hopi and Tewa women. Through their determination, not only do they thrive but serve as role models to the generations yet to come. We must continually honor women and empower our sisters, daughters, nieces, mothers, and grandmothers. We are all needed to promote a thriving healthy community for all. Theme: Strengthening our foundation to inspire change for the future.
What to Expect:
- Educational topics on violence against Native women.
- Interactive group activities.
- Access to resources and literature.
- Meeting other women interested in making a positive change towards a healthy, safe Hopi and Tewa community.
- An incentive for participation.
Participant Requirements: Hopi and Tewa women 18 years and older. Attend all scheduled presentations & activities. Participate in all interactive activities. Contribute to a safe space by maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
