Series Description

1 in 2 Native women and 1 in 4 Native men are victims of sexual violence. More than 60% of crimes reported on Tribal Nations are sexual assault cases. Join us for our Sexual Violence in Tribal Communities Training Day! This training will provide an overview of Sexual Violence in tribal communities.  Objectives: Attendees will learn about how Sexual Assault has impacted New Mexico Tribal communities, child abuse in Indian country and knowing when and how to report abuse, we will also learn about prevention of sexual assault and best trauma informed practices when working with survivors.
