Hopi-Tewa Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relative Summit

May 29 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm UTC+0
Event Details

The Hopi-Tewa Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relative Summit aims to gather the minds, spirits, hearts, and support of families, community, tribal leaders, existing services, and community organizers to address the missing and murdered Indigenous women and relatives’ issue.  The summit will highlight areas of current services and allow the participants to receive pertinent information resources and have meaningful dialogue with service providers.

The coalition held its first summit and town halls on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives in 2023, this summit is an annual event to continuously raise awareness of this issue and create community action that can lead to enhanced responses and services for the Hopi community.  HTWCEA truly believes in uplifting the voice of survivors and families of violence and through these events we hope to strengthen partnerships while embracing trauma-informed and culturally relevant approaches. The Hopi-Tewa MMIWR Summit is a one-day conference featuring subject matter experts on MMIWR issues.
